Minimumskrav:

• nd:NORD-10/S eller nd:ND-100 med memory management system
• 128 Kbytes ord ("words") main memory
• disk med kontroller ("disk unit with controller")
• diskettstasjon ("floppy disk unit") - kan erstattes med leser for papirtape ("paper tape reader")
• konsoll ("console terminal")

Valgfri hardware (kommer i tillegg):

• main memory opp til 32 Mbytes. Local or multiport solid state memory.
• high speed direct memory access channel, 1 M word per second to / from multiport memory.
• high speed cache memory
• up to 8 mass storage units used for system and user program storing
• up to approximately 2300 Mbytes of mass storage capacity
• fixed disk drive as integral part of the configuration. Average access time 64 ms, 312K bytes/second transfer rate
• cartridge disks. Each drive has a capacity in the range 5 to 90 Mbytes.
• big disks. Disk units with capacity of 33, 38, 66, 75 or 288 Mbytes per unit. Up to 4 units per controller for 33 and 66 M byte disk units. Automatic error correction controller for 38, 75 and 288 M byte disk units, with up to 4 units per controller.
• magnetic tapes. Up to 8 units per controller, 7-track: 45 or 75 ips, 800 bpi, 9-track: 45 or 75 ips, 800 or 1600 bpi.
• floppy disks with a capacity of 308 K bytes
• card readers 285 or 600 cards / minute
• NORD Colour Terminal (NCT) semigraphic display terminal
• line printers. Prints from 340 to 1000 lines per minute.
• matrix printers, 160 characters per second
• terminals. Hard copy: 30 to 120 characters per second. CRT screen: 30 to 960 characters per second.
• graphic plotters and displays
• data communication interfaces (HDLC, etc.)
• paper tape readers and punches
• process equipment (CAMAC, etc.)
