ND 246

The ND 246 NOTIS terminal is designed to support ADP applications such as word processing, screen handling etc. The NOTIS terminal is produced in Danish, English, French, German, international, Norwegian and Swedish versions. It is also known as the TDV 2200 terminal.

Features

Two modes: a special "NOTIS" mode and a TDV 2215 version 2 (same as TDV 2115) mode. PUSH-keys allowing commonly used words or control strings to be transmitted by pushing a single key. The strings associated with PUSH-keys are stored in non-volatile memory and are not lost when power is turned off. Specifications

15 inch screen, green, anti-reflex. PUSH-key loading: 16 PUSH-key strings can be loaded from the host computer.

Interface

The ND 246 is interfaced to an ND computer via a 20 mA current loop interface or the CCITT V.24 (EIA RS-232 C) standard connection via modems and modem interfaces.

Keyboard interface

Serial asynchronous communication is used between keyboard and terminal. Communication is bidirectional allowing commands to be sent to the keyboard.

Printer Control

Start hard copy, start relay to printer, stop relay to printer. This allows for hard copy and independent printing (terminal bypass).

Printer Interface Option

  • ND 243 V.24 (EIA) RS-232C interface for ND 246.
  • ND 244 Current Loop interface for ND 246.
  • ND 245 Print Buffer. If the print buffer is present in the terminal, the user may continue to work interactively on the terminal while printing is taking place.
